Temple Band seeks new members

TEMPLE – The Temple Band, “America’s First Town Band,” will host its annual new member nights from 7-9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 22 and 29, at The Temple Town Hall in Temple.

The Temple Band is an all-volunteer, nonprofit community band drawing members age from 10-85, from Monadnock region and Souhegan Valley. There are no dues, fees or auditions required, however, two years’ experience on your concert band instrument is requested and a commitment to try to make at least half of our rehearsals and shows. All concert band instruments are welcome.

The band meets for weekly rehearsals from 7-9 p.m. on Mondays October through May. Our performance venue includes a December Christmas benefit performance and about 15 summer events scheduled throughout New England. Rehearsals are held in Town Hall on Route 45 south off Route 101 in the center of Temple.
