Thursday, January 10, 2013
AMHERST – Zachery Ladd of Amherst Boy Scout Troop 22 has just completed his Eagle Scout rank. The rank of Eagle Scout is the highest Rank in the BSA and a title held for life. Some well-known Eagles include Gerald Ford, Neil Armstrong, Michael Bloomberg, Steven Spielberg, and Donald Rumsfeld.
Zachery completed his Eagle Scout project at PMEC in Amherst. He has updated the amphitheater using the planning, development and leadership skills he has learned during his 11 years in boy scouts. Zack took on rebuilding the benches and podium in the outdoor theater along with landscaping. He also added gravel and gardens to minimize future erosion of the sloping hillside.
Zack is a junior at Souhegan High School. He is an avid outdoorsman and member of the SHS First Robotics Team. He is employed at Moulton’s Market and will be pursuing a college degree and eventual career in Engineering.
