FOOTBALL

Mustangs Grade 8

Milford fell to the Manchester South Sabers 36-30 in the final moments of the first game of the season. The Mustangs were lead by key plays by Max Maloney, who had two touchdowns, and Owen Clary. The Mustangs offensive line made key blocks, led by Nick Sullivan, to allow for a nasty bootleg touchdown run by Teagan Collins and exciting game tying run by Niko Lapan in the fourth quarter.

Mustangs Grade 6

The Mustangs started off the defense of their Division II state championship with a 32-0 win over the Sabers. Milford played dominating defense, led by tackles by Joseph Shepard, Sampson Hodges, Colton Burrows and Justin Clark. The offense got big plays from quarterback Gavin Urda and quick scoring runs by Austin Hiscoe and Brett Anderson.

Mustangs Grade 5

Milford lost its first game of the season, 32-0 to the Windham Wolverines. The Mustangs played tough, with big plays on both sides of the ball by Solomon Sanchez and Logan Barnhill. Anthony Catania made some key tackles, but it was the Wolverines’ Curtis Shatuck that provided the power.

Mustangs flag

The Mustangs flag football team started the year off with a 24-0 win over Moandnock, dominated by the offensive and defensive line play. The offensive line opened up huge holes all day for the touchdowns scored by Kaleb Francoeur, and a perfectly run QB bootleg from Colton Tewksbury. All of it was topped off by an exciting long TD run by Brode Howard. The defense was led by Owen Durant and David Babin, who were in the backfield all game.
