Coming soon to a Cabinet near you (possibly in your mailbox, but certainly at a nearby store): Our first pizza contest.

And you thought you already knew all the reasons in the world to enjoy pizza from your favorite local spot.

Well, here comes another one: The Cabinet is soon going to ask readers to vote for their favorite pizza place. We have identified 11 local spots in Milford, Amherst and Wilton, and will soon be giving you information on what and where they are located. Then, it will be up to you.

Now you know you love pizza. It was probably your dietary staple on Super Bowl Sunday. And you are undoubtedly loyal to a particular pizza provider. Here’s your chance to let the world know and, perhaps, launch it into the winner’s circle. Start thinking about it now: Why is it that you love (name the place) pizza so much? What is it about the sauce, the toppings, the crust? Because we’re going to ask you to tell us a few things like that, although you don’t have to; you can simply vote for your favorite without any explanation at all.

So keep your eye on The Cabinet for the launching of our pizza contest. It will be fun for us, fun for you, and it could be economically beneficial to the local economy: Surely, before you vote, you’re going to want to run out and grab a pie just to remind yourself why you love (insert name here) pizza so much.
