Osgood Pond needs to be dredged
Wednesday, December 14, 2011
To The Editor:
I lived in Milford for many years and look forward to one day returning to the town I care so much about, as it is my home town.
After reading the comments dated Oct. 27, 2011, I felt compelled to express my opinion.
I am most interested in Osgood Pond. It is obvious that the silt and weeds could eventually cause numerous homeowners who reside above the pond, on the pond and along the brook, serious problems such as flooding cellars, etc. The need for Osgood Pond to be dredged and returned to its original state will solve this situation and it could once again be the beautiful part of Milford as I remember it.
If this situation is not remedied, I see the possibility of some agency, or even the town itself, liable for damages done to the homeowners in the area.
Thank you, (Executive) Councilor Wheeler for your avid interest in this matter. I look forward to this problem being resolved in the near future.
