New Year’s bonfire was festive and enjoyable
Thursday, January 5, 2012
To the Editor:
A big thank you to everyone who helped or contributed at the sixth New Year’s Bonfire at Riley Bros. Lumber on Christmas Tree Lane in Milford.
Special gratitude to Joe Ercobacci who bought and cooked all the hot dogs and cookies, the Yeaton family for the drinks, wagon rides and set-up.
Also to my erstwhile balloon crew of the Cases, Franckes, Gregg Nadeau and Bob Russell.
SHARE will receive the sum of $536 that was donated by a festive and enjoyable group of people.
One mystery: Who was the generous person who put a $100 bill in the jug?
The evening was America at its finest. Norman Rockwell would have been proud.
