Messiah Sing was a tremendous success
Wednesday, January 25, 2012
To the Editor:
This season’s Messiah Sing was a tremendous success. Our all-volunteer chorus of 118 – the largest ever – led by Music Director Jennifer Erdody had two performances at Mont Vernon Congregational Church in December, thanks to the generosity of many community members.
Thank you to: Ciardelli Fuel Company; County Auto Restorations; Kenneth G. Edwards, DDS; Drescher & Dokmo, PA; Hayward’s Trading Post & Country Store, Inc.; Hometown Insurance Agency; James Kimberly; Lull Farm, Milford; and Seasonal Specialty Stores/Gull Group.
The following donors gave at least $100 each to sponsor a musician: Absolute Mechanical Systems; Kevin and Vickie Andersen; an anonymous donor; Beacon Technology Partners; J. Kenneth Fordham CPA; J.P. Pest Services; John Kenison, DDS; Elliot and Dawn Lyon in memory of Joe and Laurel Thomas; Milford Rotary Club Foundation; Sapphire Consulting LLC; and the Susan and John Turben Foundation.
Thanks to the vision of a small group of people at MVCC, for 24 years the magnificent music of Handel’s “Messiah” has resounded throughout the community on the first weekend in December. Hope to see you this year.
THE MESSIAH SING COMMITTEE
Kathleen Andrle, Coleen Brady, Art Fenske, Tim Hageman, Mary Ellen Hettinger, Dick Martini, Mary Alyce Minor, Jill Slocum, Alan Smith, Stephen Takacs, Judith Wood.
