Taxpayers need to focus on education
Wednesday, January 25, 2012
To the Editor:
This is addressed to the taxpayers of Mont Vernon and Amherst.
I want to think the people in the school system are doing the best they can do to run efficiently and give the students the best education possible.
However, it’s come to the point where enough is enough. The average person cannot afford any more, not to mention the elderly on fixed incomes.
We all have to make our own concessions and know that education is most important. Somehow we need to stop this runaway train or we will all pay the consequences.
We are in a real bad economy and need to make some major cuts and changes.
We as taxpayers need now to focus on education only, and cut spending on all other activities for the foreseeable future.
