89-year-old man in two accidents
Thursday, February 16, 2012
AMHERST – An 89-year-old man could be facing charges in the wake of two accidents last week.
William Rose of Amherst was driving east on Route 101A on Feb. 10 when he apparently rear-ended another vehicle near the intersection with Route 122, said Police Chief Peter Lyon on Tuesday.
Rose continued east on 101A but lost control of his vehicle and drove into a corner of the TD Bank building.
Although Rose was not injured, Lyon said a bank employee was slightly injured when Rose’s car pushed over a file cabinet.
Lyon said Amherst police are still investigating and that charges against Rose are possible.
