Boys & Girls Club receives grant

MILFORD – The Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley has received a grant from the Kaley Foundation to help upgrade its fleet of vehicles used to transport children to and from area schools.
Because of the large geographic area the club serves, and because many club members have families with two working parents, transportation is increasingly critical to fulfilling the Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley’s mission, said the club’s Executive Director Susan Taylor in a press release.
“We are thankful for the support of the Kaley Foundation,” said Taylor, who also said the foundation prefers that the amount is not published.
News about the grant “travelled through our staff like a shock wave,” she said. “Everyone is excited about our new vehicle and our increased ability to provide safe, reliable transportation for the kids in our community.”
The Boys & Girls Club is seeking additional partners to help defray the cost of replacing older vehicles. For more information, contact Denise King, Director of Development, at 672-1002, ext. 12, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
