Thursday, March 8, 2012
LYNDEBOROUGH – Four people have filed for three three-year seats on the Budget Committee: incumbents James Button and Donald Guertin, plus newcomers Corey Cheever and Sandra Schoen.
However, no one filed for the open Board of Selectmen seat. Incumbent Arnold Byam has indicated that he would accept a write-in.
Newcomers to the slate are V. Lucille Watt for library trustee, a position she held some years ago, and Jeffrey Shinn for a one-year position on the Budget Committee.
Lee Mayhew has stepped down from the library trustees and has filed for the zoning board of adjustment.
A ballot question asks for the adoption of changes in the town’s Home Occupation Ordinance that would clarify and simplify the process.
In the Cooperative School District, current Chairman Geoff Brock is seeking re-election and Karen Grybko has filed to retain her seat on the budget committee. Both are running unopposed.
No one filed for district moderator, currently filled by Walter Holland.
A ballot question asks that the district adopt the provision of the official Ballot Law, also known as SB 2.
All other articles will be voted at the annual School District Meeting March 9.
