MILFORD, NH– Arleen K. Sears, 95, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died December 11, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH.
She was born in Nashua on June 19, 1916, a daughter of Basil and Eva A. (Lampron) McCarville.
Mrs. Sears was raised and educated in Nashua and graduated from Nashua High School, Class of 1934.
She had been employed as a bookkeeper for J.F. McElwain Shoe Company in Nashua, The Cabinet Press and Gault Plumbing & Heating, Milford.
Over the course of many years, Mrs. Sears completed more than 50 hooked rugs. In addition, she enjoyed gardening, cooking and traveled extensively throughout her life having visited 55 countries and islands.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Milford.
Mrs. Sears was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Clifford Keogh.
Family members include her husband of 51 years, Ruland Sears of Milford; a son, Dr. Richard N. Keogh and his wife, Constance of Portsmouth, RI; three stepchildren, Arline Sears of Merrimack, NH, David Sears of GA and Paul Sears of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Daniel Keogh, Kathleen Edgar and Jeffrey Sears; and six great-grandchildren.
There are no calling hours. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 15th at 1:00 pm in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford.
