WRESTLING
Milford to host annual tournament
The annual Milford-Souhegan Wrestling Tournament will take place Dec. 17, starting at 8 a.m., at Milford High School. Wrestling will begin at 8 a.m. with the consolation finals scheduled for 3:45 p.m. and the finals at 4:30 on two mats. All medals will be presented after each match. Teams participating are: Milford, Souhegan, Manchester West, Timberlane, Con-Val, Burrillville (R.I.), Coventry (R.I.) and Colchester (Vt.). Tickets will be $5 for adults and $3 for students.
SOCCER
Pedleton named Coach of the Year
Jaime Pendleton, director of Amherst Soccer Club/Hampshire FC’s Early Development Program, was named the 2011 Girls Competitive Coach of the Year by the New Hampshire Soccer Association. Pendleton runs ASC/HFC’s program for players ages 7-10, and has previously coached older players within the club. She received the award for her past work coaching the Londonderry United Girls U12 team, who won the state trophy and the good sportsmanship award, as well as for her work as the Soccer Program Director for the Inti Soccer Academy.
COACHING
Spring openings
Milford High School is looking for coaches for the following spring sports: varsity boys lacrosse and JV baseball. Anyone interested should contact Athletic Director Marc Maurais at mmaurais@sau40.com.
Cheerleading coach
Amherst Middle School has an opening for a cheerleading coach. Anyone interested should contact Athletic Director, Jeff Wing, at jwing@sprise.com.
BASEBALL
Donate equipment
