MILFORD

BOYS BASKETBALL

Feb. 14: Goffstown 81, Milford 62

A tough year for the Spartans (4-11) continued as they had only eight players due to a roster hit with a couple of academic ineligibilities and trailed Goffstown from the start. Jobi Philbrick had 17 points and Jared Asselin added 15.

Feb. 16: Pelham 54, Milford 35

The Spartans scored just nine points in the first half on the way to their sixth straight loss. The Pythons had three players with 10 or more points, while Jovi Philbrick was the lone 10-point scorer for Milford (4-12). Richie Moore had nine points and Logan Barlow added eight.

Feb. 21: Bishop Brady 41, Milford 40

The Spartans, who were led by Logan Barlow’s 18 points and 16 rebounds, had two shots in the final 14 seconds but came up empty to fall to 4-13 in Division II. Ben Smith added eight points to Milford’s cause.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Feb. 17: Milford 43, Pelham 37

Dina and Adelle Pitsas combined for 23 points in leading the Spartans to a home victory.

Milford was up by just one point headed into the fourth quarter, but pulled away at that point.

The Spartans (7-10) got 3-pointers from five different players- Adelle Pitsas, Brianna Hoffmann, Jen Dupuis, Jonna Gath, and Ashley Federico.

SOUHEGAN

BOYS BASKETBALL

Feb. 21: Souhegan 70, Hollis Brookline 54

Brandon Len had 21 points and Jake Kennedy 15 as the host Sabers raised their record to 14-2 at the expense of the 6-10 Cavs, who were led by PJ Flaum’s 12 points and 11 from James Wilson. Souhegan stormed out to a 21-10 lead and never looked back.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Feb. 14: Souhegan 53, John Stark 24

Jane White hit four 3-pointers en route to a 24-point night while Mickenzie Larivee had 12 points and 17 boards to lift the visiting Sabers, now 11-4.

Tori Forrest added seven points as Souhegan took a 16-8 first quarter lead and never looked back.

Feb. 17: Souhegan 51, Bedford 48

Jane White scored 22 of her game-high 31 points in the second half to lead the Sabers (12-4) to a win over the Bulldogs (12-4) on Friday.

Mickenzie Larivee added 10 points for the winners while Tori Forrest grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.

Ali Sumski also played well, finishing with four steals, and blocking a potential game-tying shot with :02 remaining to seal the victory.

BOYS HOCKEY

Feb. 20: Souhegan 8, Moultonborough-Inter-Lakes 2

Stevie Upton had three goals and an assist to lead the Sabers (10-5-1) to a Division III victory.

Souhegan also got two goals and an assist from Joe Stacy, while Conor Casey, Alek Medic and Teemu Raina each scored a goal apiece.

Ben Ehrlich and Mike Hayden each had two assists and goalie Ryan Peterson made 18 saves.
