About the Cabinet

The mission of The Cabinet Press is to provide the residents of our communities the most reliable, relevant and accurate news and information about their towns thorough our print and online products, which include The Cabinet, the Bedford Journal, The Merrimack Journal, The Hollis-Brookline Journal, MORE magazine and cabinet.com. We also provide a forum for expressing opinions and exchanging ideas and concerns. Through our advertising programs we offer businesses an effective means of providing information about their products and services to local consumers.

The Cabinet was first published as The Farmer?s Cabinet in Amherst, N.H., in 1802, and is the second oldest continuously published newspaper in New Hampshire, serving the communities of Milford, Amherst, Wilton, Lyndeborough and Mont Vernon, with paid weekly circulation of 7,000. The Journal publications were launched by the Cabinet Press in the 1990s, and provide total household coverage in the communities they serve, through a combination of mail and carrier delivery. The Cabinet and Journals in combination reach 34,000 households in the very prosperous Southern New Hampshire area.

MORE magazine, published 10 times a year, features such themes as wedding bells, community celebrations, back to school, home improvement and holiday gift guides.
