Denehy will bring board balance
Friday, March 8, 2013
To the Editor:
When Brookline voters go to the polls on March 12, they have a great choice for selectman in Brendan Denehy.
Brendan has served the town on the Facilities Study Committee, the Safety Complex Building Committee and the Master Plan study circles.
I have served with him on the building committee and the Master Plan group, and have found Brendan to be hard working, knowledgeable and thoughtful in his approach to our town’s future.
He has shown a real concern that Brookliners get a return of value and usefulness on our investment in the police station addition to the Safety Complex, and an ability to offer solutions and inspire compromise and cooperation in the process.
Brendan grew up in Brookline and brings to the table a deep knowledge of the town’s history and traditions.
This knowledge, combined with his experience in serving the town, will allow him to honor the important concerns of respecting our past while we build a Brookline that we will all be proud of for our future.
I believe Brendan will bring a balance to the board that will reflect the concerns Brookliners have for our town and will encourage more folks to participate in the process.
He will listen to all residents and make decisions that will move Brookline forward while honoring our past.
I strongly urge my fellow Brookliners to join me in supporting Brendan Denehy for selectman.
