Aaron Fellows, son of Katie and Jeff Fellows, of Hudson, was awarded the Ruby Turner Morris Prize this spring, given to a senior for excellence in economics, by Connecticut College in New London. He graduated cum laude this spring with a major in mathematics and economics.

Raymond Hawkins, son of Charlotte and Malcolm Hawkins, of Lyndeborough, was awarded the James R. Baird Prize this spring for the best critical essay or for exceptional work in an advanced or intermediate literature course from Connecticut College in New London. He also received the History Department Prize for excellence in global studies. Hawkins was inducted into the Connecticut College chapter of Phi Beta Kappa on May 18. Hawkins graduated summa cum laude with a major in literatures in English and history.

Ethan Underhill, son of Lisa and Edwin Underhill, of Merrimack, was awarded the Connecticut College Bookshop Prize this spring, given to a sophomore who has combined outstanding qualities of leadership, good citizenship and service to the college, at Connecticut College in New London.

Greg Vance, son of Suzanne and Scott Vance, of Nashua, was awarded the Julia Wells Bower Prize for distinction in mathematics at Connecticut College in New London.

Mark Firmani, of Hollis, won the Alice B. Remail Memorial Award and Christopher Becker Memorial Prize at Quinnipiac University’s Senior Awards Ceremony on April 27. The first award is presented to the graduating senior with the highest academic record in the English major in the College of Arts and Sciences. The second award is given to the history major with the highest grade point average. In addition, Firmani was named to “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges” for his scholarship and leadership. The university is in Hamden, Conn.
