NASHUA – Horse N Hound Physical Therapy marked its first year anniversary in June.
Clients, friends and dog enthusiasts gathered to celebrate the milestone, and participated in free giveaways, as well as raffles. Awards were presented to the client with the highest attendance, most enthusiastic dog and longest attendance.
Demonstrations of the underwater treadmill, laser therapy and ball therapy were also conducted during the event.
Jennifer and JW Brooks, a Brookline couple, started this unique clinic located at 531 Amherst St., Nashua a year ago. They have found that the trend of animal physical therapy is growing rapidly throughout the United States.
HnHPT was founded in 2006 as Equine Rehabilitation Services LLC by Jennifer Brooks. Upon expansion of physical therapy services to include dogs and cats in 2010, the company name was changed to Horse N Hound Physical Therapy. Jennifer Brooks is a licensed physical therapist and holds a master’s in education, and certificates in equine rehabilitation and canine rehabilitation from the University of Tennessee, in Knoxville. She is also on staff as adjunct faculty at the University of Tennessee teaching in the Equine Rehabilitation program.
With the opening of the clinic in Nashua, she has increased her staff including her husband, JW Brooks, as operations manager, Lori Lindgren as front office manager, Kathy Bodwell as senior vet tech, Steve Desilets as marketing manager and Jenn Weatherbee as a vet tech, to best serve the clients, animal professionals and most of all, provide top-quality treatment to her animal patients in need of rehabilitation.
Feel free to stop by Monday-Saturday to visit the facility and chat with the staff at Horse N Hound Physical Therapy.
