Hollis, Nashua firms get job-training funds from state

CONCORD – UltraSource, of Hollis, and Microdesk, of Nashua, will receive money to help train employees as part of the latest distribution from the state’s Job Training Fund.
Six companies received grants totalling $72,242, which they matched. The state said 226 people will receive training.
UltraSource, which makes thin-film circuits, received $27,427 to train 24 employees in a variety of programs.
Microdesk, a consultant to firms for designing build and operating buildings and sites, will have up to seven employees trained in Autodesk Revit Structure under a $3,487.51 grant.
Other recipients include Creare Inc., of Hanover, Amoskeag Beverages, of Bow, Metal Works, of Londonderry, and Lisbon-based New England Wire Technologies Corp.
The Job Training Fund has awarded $6.4 million in grants since October 2007, with employers contributing $9 million more for training for 19,230 New Hampshire workers.
