Candidate filing documents show contests in races

Here’s a quick look at who has filed to run in Hollis and Brookline this year.

Hollis voters will have a full slate of contested races.

On the town side of the ballot, two incumbent selectmen are facing a challenge for two, three-year seats. Peter Bank and Mark LeDoux are running for re-election; Spencer Stickney is challenging them.

On the Budget Committee, five people are running for two, three-year seats. Christopher Hyde and Bob Labednick, the incumbents, are facing challenges from Paul Cain, Tom Gehan and Basil Mason.

On the Hollis School Board, Robert Mann is running unopposed for the open seat. The race for moderator pits Harry Gaytayan against Drew Mason.

Two incumbents are facing two newcomers for a pair of Hollis seats on the Hollis/Brookline Cooperative School Board.

Incumbents James O’Shea and Steve Simons are facing Bill Beauregard and Heidi Cadwell in the race for the three-year seats. And there’s also a race for co-op moderator, with Haytayan, of Hollis, facing James Murphy, of Brookline.

In Brookline, the town ballot will see a race for selectman and for road agent.

A pair of three-year selectman’s seats are open. Incumbents Jack Flanagan and Clarence Farwell are facing John Carr.

Incumbent road agent Gerry Farwell is facing a challenge from Paul Cambray.

On the school side, Ernie Pistor is unchallenged running for a three-year seat on the Brookline School Board.

Incumbent Fred Hubert is facing William Newsham in a race for the three-year seat.

On the cooperative Budget Committee, Christopher Adams and Jim Solinas are facing off for the Brookline seat.

There’s also a race for moderator, with Murphy, of Brookline, facing Haytayan, of Hollis.
