Residents needed for search committee

Friday, January 25, 2013

The SAU 41 Governing Board, comprising the school boards of the Hollis, Brookline and Hollis Brookline Cooperative school districts, is beginning an executive search for a new SAU 41 superintendent.

The board and Superintendent Susan Hodgdon have decided not to renew the superintendent’s contract that expires on June 30.

The Board is thankful for Susan’s five years of service and her many contributions to the success of SAU 41. The board wishes her success in her future endeavors.

The SAU 41 Governing Board has engaged the services of Robert Lister from the New Hampshire School Board Association to conduct the superintendent search.

The board is forming a search committee that will include three community members.

The Search Committee will be responsible for the initial screening of candidates, including applications, interviews and site visits.

There will also be an opportunity for the community to participate in the finalists’ interview process by attending a candidates’ forum.

Members of the community who are interested in serving on the Search Committee should submit a request in writing to the SAU 41 office, either by email to sau41board@sau41.org, or by letter addressed to the SAU 41 Governing Board, 4 Lund Lane, Hollis, NH 03049. Please include your name, address, email, day and evening phone number, and a brief description of your interest and relevant qualifications.

Requests must be received by 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28.

– Submitted by Bill Beauregard, chairman of the SAU 41 Governing Board
