Theresa Christians, 88, of Brookline, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at Greenbriar Healthcare Terrace in Nashua.
She was born in Clifton, N.J., on June 28, 1921, a daughter of the late Frank and Ana (Khacenbiger) Virag.
Mrs. Christians resided in Brookline for several years and formerly lived in Sebring, Fla., for several years and Garfield, N.J., for many years.
She cherished time spent with her family and also enjoyed reading.
Mrs. Christians was a devoted mother and a loving grandmother.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church and Infant Jesus Mission.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Christians, and a son, Charles Christians Jr.
Family members include her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Dina Christians, of Brookline; two grandchildren, Danielle and Alison Christians, both of Brookline; and a nephew.
Calling hours were Thursday, Sept. 24, from 6-8 p.m. in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm St., Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist, One School Street, Townsend, Mass. Burial will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
