Arthur Chester Dyer III

Arthur Chester Dyer III, 78, formerly of Brookline, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, in Cape Coral, Fla.

He was born July 16, 1931, in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. He worked for MIT Lincoln Laboratory. He is survived by his children, Anne Swanek of Maryland, Kathy Pelletier of Brookline, and Arthur C. “Kit” Dyer IV of Florida; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several cousins.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Shattuck, and his wife, Janet Richardson.

A Recognition of Life will be held in his honor Saturday, Nov. 14, at Brookline Auction Gallery from 3-5 p.m.

A private burial will be held in Dover-Foxcroft in the spring.
