Fred Mackey wins Bassathon in Hollis with 4-lb, 15-oz. large mouth bass

HOLLIS – Opportunity Networks is pleased to announce the $1,000 grand prize winner of its 19th annual Bassathon.
Taking in the top honors of the day was Fred Mackey, whose largemouth bass weighed in at 4 pounds, 15 ounces.
The 19th annual Catch and Release Bassathon Fishing Tournament fundraiser was held at the Lone Pine Hunter’s Club in Hollis on Saturday, Sept. 21, and raised much-needed funds for the nonprofit.
Opportunity Networks serves adults with disabilities, such as Down syndrome, autism, traumatic brain injuries, cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities. An integral part of the community, they take great pride in working with adults and high school transition students with all levels of developmental disabilities.
They offer day programming and supported employment services to create meaningful lives for these individuals.

Other upcoming fundraisers for Opportunity Networks include the 20th annual $10K Raffle Extravaganza to be held on Dec. 6 at the River Card Room in Milford, as well as the third annual Chili Chowder Cookoff in January and the 24th annual Souhegan Valley Golf Classic, which will again be held at the Amherst Country Club in June.
