Friday, August 8, 2014

In June 2014, Vidya Nandakumar and Isabela Bobocea passed the level 2 piano examination given by The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music held at Darrell’s Music Hall in Nashua.

Both girls received a “Merit” grade from ABRSM. Headquartered in London, ABRSM is the largest international examination board in the world.

Isabela is the daughter of Sorin and Andreea Bobocea, of Hollis. Vidya is the daughter of Anu and Kumar Varadaraju, of Nashua.

Both students take duo lessons from their piano teacher, Marie Mendelow, of Merrimack, who is a graduate of the board’s program. Mendelow works with her students for many months each year in preparation for this challenge.
