Rivier appoints new board of trustees

NASHUA – Rivier University recently added four new members to its Board of Trustees. Sister Janice Perrault of Methuen, Mass., Kevin Halloran of Brookline, Kevin Curran of Hollis, and Mary Jane King of Nashua, will join 28 others in serving on Rivier’s Board of Trustees for 2012-13.
“The University is delighted to welcome this group of new trustees whose vision, values, and commitment exemplifies our core mission of ‘transforming hearts and minds to serve the world,’” said Sister Paula Marie Buley, president of Rivier University.
Perrault has served as an inspirational leader throughout her career as an administrator, religious and spiritual guide, and educator. She serves as the Assistant Provincial for the U.S. Province of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary. Prior to this appointment, she was program director at the Marie Joseph Spiritual Center and the Group Adult Foster Care Program. She has dedicated many years of her career to the care of the elderly and sick. Perrault holds advanced degrees in spiritual direction, clinical pastoral education and pastoral ministry, as well as a master’s degree in religious studies from Providence College.
Halloran has been recognized as a top financial advisor with a career spanning more than 25 years in the financial services field. He serves as an investment advisory representative with LPL Financial, where he oversees insurance and investments, including individual securities. He previously served as president of the Nashua Association of Life Underwriters and the New Hampshire Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and serves as chairperson for the National Association of Insurance and Advisor Political Action Committee. He is an active member of the Rotary Club of Nashua, and is vice chairman of the United Way of Nashua. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Southern Connecticut State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Rivier.
An entrepreneur with an extensive and diverse background, Curran’s career experience ranges from real estate investor to director and inventor of innovative and successful products. He serves as president and managing member of Curran 800 Technology Center Drive, LLC in Stoughton, Mass., as well as founding general partner and managing agent for CMT Realty Partnership in Bedford, Mass; president and sole member of Curran Mustang, LLC in Hollis; and president and CEO of GCC Technologies Inc., in Bedford, Mass. He studied electrical engineering, computer science and pre-med at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
King is a long-time Nashua resident and community activist who brings significant experience in nonprofit leadership to Rivier. She serves as president of Conway Management, where she has held positions in finance and sales, and has been instrumental in the development of new products for more than 20 years. A Nashua international management consulting firm, Conway Management assists organizations worldwide in improving their business performance. She has served on several nonprofit boards, including the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua; the Merrimack Repertory Theatre in Lowell, Mass.; St. Patrick’s Church in Nashua; and St. Christopher School in Nashua. She earned her bachelor’s degree in professional nursing and her master’s degree in business administration.
