Gymnasts from Souhegan, Milford, Wilton-Lyndeborough and Hollis Brookline competed in the NHIAA championship meet on Saturday.
The Sabers finished 13th in the team competition while the Cavaliers were 15th. Pinkerton finished first while Bishop Guertin came in third.
Sydney French of Souhegan was the top local finisher in the all-around, coming in 23rd. French was tied for 28th on the bars, tied for 30th on the floor and the vault and tied for 31st on the beam. Souhegan’s Hannah Johnson was also 49th in the all-around, finishing tied for 43rd on the vault, tied for 53rd on the floor, tied for 57th on the beam and the bars.
Wilton-Lyndeborough’s Meghan McClure tied for 29th in the all-around, finishing tied for 21st on the vault, 20th on the beam, tied for 31st on the floor and tied for 39th on the bars.
Abby Fitzpatrick of Hollis Brookline took 32nd in the all-around, finishing 24th on the floor, tied for 31st on the vault, 32nd on the beam and tied for 56th on the bars.
Milford’s Britany Lusczyk was 39th in the all-around, finishing 39th on the floor, tied for 43rd on the vault, tied for 44th on the bars and tied for 47th on the beam. Teammate Shannon Kolasinski was 44th in the all-around, finishing 37th on the vault, 47th on the bars, tied for 50th on the floor and 56th on the beam.
Feb. 17: HB 44, John Stark 16
A balanced scoring attack led the Cavaliers (7-7) to their fifth win in seven games. Cassandra Stapelfeld scored a game-high 12 points for HB, while Michaela Dowling added seven points and Kristin Johnson had six points and nine rebounds. The Cavs shot 13 of 14 from the free throw line and led the Generals (1-13) 26-8 at halftime.
Feb. 15: HB 68, John Stark 34
The Cavaliers took a 38-9 lead heading into halftime and never looked back as they cruised to a victory over John Stark. Dan Bentall led the way for HB, scoring 21 points. Shea Whalen added 12 points while teammates Matt Fothergill and Logan Blake combined for 15.
The Cavs improved to 10-4 with the victory, taking sole possession of seventh-place in the Division II standings.
Feb. 15: HB Goes 3-1
at Cavalier Classic
Hollis Brookline had a solid showing at the Cavalier Classic, topping Pelham (48-19), Franklin (48-27) and Bow (48-24). The Cavs fell to Windham, 39-33.
Nathaniel Lindsay (126) and Wyatt Farwell (152) each finished 4-0 at the tournament, while teammates Thomas Hoey (120), Nick McPherson (132), Lucas Cummings (138), Christian Lopez (145), Caleb Lomme (170), Andrew Butler (170), Kayne Robert (182), Chris Lazich (195) and Travis Guthrie (195) had at least one pin.

Fall to Spaulding
Hollis Brookline picked up two points in the standings as they topped Souhegan before falling to a tough Spaulding squad. High scorers for the Cavaliers were Austin Pigott (168, 123), Grant Johnson (138, 159) and Hannah Modelski (166, 123).
The Hollis Brookline JV squad also won their tournament, led by Matt Partridge.
