BOYS HOCKEY

Dec. 16: Portsmouth 2, Hollis/Brookline 0

Jake Hahnl made 27 saves in his first varsity start, but it wasn’t enough for the Cavaliers in their Division III opener at Portsmouth. H/B (0-1) outshot the Clippers, 32-29, but gave Portsmouth too many power play opportunities.

The Cavs play again at 5 p.m. on Saturday at Con-Val.

WRESTLING

Dec. 16: Hollis/Brookline 39, Pelham 33

Zach McPherson (103 pounder), Jake McPherson (130) and Forrest Coon-Roberts (171) won their matches by pins, and the Cavaliers pulled out a six-point win over the Pythons. Brian Litchfield (145) also had a win for the Cavs.
