BOYS BASKETBALL
Dec. 18: Hollis/Brookline 60, Con-Val 33
Bryan Landry controlled the tempo on both ends of the floor, scoring a game-high 17 points and steading the Cavaliers’ defense.
Dan Baerthlein (eight points) and Brian Liamos (four points) were big on the glass as H/B picked up a win in its season opener at home.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Dec. 19: Hollis/Brookline 57, Con-Val 28
Julia Stopera pulled down 12 rebounds to go along with her seven points as the Cavaliers cruised to their second win of the season.
Jill Gillis led all scorers with 10 points, while Kelly Morgan and Kelsey Berry chipped in with nine and eight, respectively. Katie Stopera matched her sister with seven of her own points in the win.
BOYS HOCKEY
Dec. 19: Hollis/Brookline 4, Monadnock 3 OT
Kyle Berman scored six minutes into overtime to lift Hollis/Brookline over Monadonock 4-3 in a Division III game on Saturday night.
Berman, who along with Eric Dupla assisted on the Cavaliers’ first goal off the stick of Zach Rotkowietz, skated in on net and beat the goalie five-hole for the win.
Pat Clark scored the second goal for H/B with help from Jake Kobylarz, while Griffin Brown tied things up off a pass from Ian Rowe. Jake Hanhl made 33 saves to help H/B even its record at 1-1 on the season.
