BOYS BASKETBALL
DEC. 29: BEDFORD 58, HOLLIS/BROOKLINE 38
Max Hendricks led a balanced attack for the winners with 10 points, while Lucas Olen and Mike Marinelli had nine each and Richard O’Brien finished with eight at the Chick-fil-A Holiday Tournament.
Dan Baerthlein (14) and Mile Tobin (10) were both in double figures for Hollis/Brookline.
DEC. 30: MOORE CATHOLIC 48, HOLLIS/BROOKLINE 26
Moore Catholic took the battle for seventh place, holding Hollis
Brookline to just five points in the second half.
John Baggs led the winners with 12 points, with Dillon Cassese (11) and David Aces (10) also in double figures.
Dan Baerthlein was the only Hollis/Brookline player in double figures with 12 points. The Cavaliers resume the regular-season on Tuesday night at Milford.
WRESTLING
DEC. 29: CAVALIERS SWEEP TRI-MEET
Chris Roukas went 2-0 at 112 pounds, picking up pins in 43 seconds against Con-Val and 44 seconds against Bedford as Hollis/Brookline swept its Tuesday afternoon tri-meet.
The Cavaliers beat Con-Val 42-36 and Bedford 57-18 in Hollis.
Jake McPherson (130 pounds) also went 2-0 for the Cavs with a pin against Con-Val and decision victory over his Bedford foe. Others picking up two wins for H/B were 135-pounder Zach Jennings and Forrest Coon-Roberts (160 and 171).
