Jan. 24: HB 56, Exeter 24
Recording pins for the Cavaliers were Wyatt Farwell (138 pounds), Caleb Lomme (145), Nate Ashe (195) and Hunter Longland (220). HB also got wins from Jonathan Lopez (106), Nick McPherson (113) and Hisham Hafez (285). Nathaniel Lindsay (120), Ryan Ahlquist (126) and Zach McPherson (132) all won by forfeit.
Jan. 26: HB fifth
at Capital City
The Cavaliers got third-place finishes from both Jonathan Lopez (106 pounds) and Zach McPherson (132). The win was McPherson’s 100th career win for Hollis Brookline. Placing fifth for HBe were Caleb Lomme (145), Zach Jennings (152), Andrew Butler (160), Austin Bumpus (182), Hunter Longland (220), while Kayne Robert (170) placed sixth.
Jan. 26: HB 9, Con-Val 3
Ian Rowe figured in all but one of the HB goals, finishing with five goals and three assists. Tim Birch had two goals for the Cavs, who got one each from Cam Ricard and Kyle Stephens. Karilie Kobylarz had four assists for the winners. HB keeper Travis Howard stopped eight shots.
Jan. 25: Oyster River 59, HB 47
Down 15 points at the end of the first half, Hollis Brookline rallied in the third quarter to take a one-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. However, the Cavaliers ran out of gas to fall to 5-3. PJ Flaum led all Cavaliers with 15 points, including one 3-pointer.
Jan. 25: HB 49, Oyster River 36
Ellie Flaum had a strong game for the Cavaliers, scoring a team-high 20 points, including two 3-pointers. Kellie Messer also had a strong game, scoring 10 points and coming down with 10 rebounds. Katherine Kroeger also had nine rebounds.
Jan. 29: HB 50, Pelham 49
Ellie Flaum hit a 3-pointer with 28 seconds left, to lift the Cavs to 8-3 on the season.
Flaum finished with 18 points and Katherine Kroeger added 10 for the winners. Erin Ackerly also had nine.
