Murphy advocates change in industry

Kelly Murphy, of Brookline, a seasoned decorator for Decor&You, is now a highly trained advocate for change in the furnishings industry, focusing on bringing safer, higher-quality and greener decorating options to American homes.

Murphy wants consumers to turn to her as a trusted adviser and educator on the options and value of keeping their buying power in-country and using socially conscientious vendors.

As a member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, Murphy has a growing list of suppliers who manufacture furniture in the U.S. and who are environmental stewards embracing sustainable-by-design concepts to offer her clients.

And she’s trained and in position to educate the consumer on the options and benefits of in-country manufacturing and of creating an environmentally safe home.

Curbside quality, a reference to inexpensive furniture and decorating products built offshore, can oftentimes be less expensive, but doesn’t measure up to the quality and safety that American-made products offer.

Decor&You was named by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the top home-based franchises for 2009-10 and has been honored by the World Franchising Network has as one of the “Top 100 Franchises” in the services sector.

For more information about Decor&You decorating services, contact Murphy at 672-9452 or kmurphy@decorandyou.com, or visit at www.decorandyou.com.
