Wine tasting to help homeless
Friday, November 25, 2011
NASHUA – Food and wines from New Hampshire restaurants and wineries, a silent auction of holiday shopping and live music – all to help local children and families in need – will be offered at this year’s Homeward Bound event.
Homeward Bound, a food- and wine-tasting event, will be 6:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Radisson Hotel Nashua. All proceeds will benefit Anne-Marie House, a transitional housing program for children and families experiencing homelessness.
Tickets are $50 and reserved tables of eight are available at a discounted rate of $45 per person. Tickets include food and wine samplings, live music, goodie bags and success stories from families who have graduated from Anne-Marie House.
A large silent auction also will be available and includes signed sports memorabilia, jewelry, gift certificates for a variety of services and weekend getaway packages.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.annemariehouse.org/events/homewardbound or by calling 883-7338, ext. 5. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, are tax-deductible and start at $100.
For more information, contact Jennifer Lorrain, AMH director of development, at 883-7338, ext. 5, or Jennifer.Lorrain@annemariehouse.org.
