CROSS COUNTRY

DIVISION II MEET

Oct. 29: H/B girls finish fourth

The Hollis/Brookline girls came in fourth at the Division II Championship meet at Derryfield Park in Manchester, recording a score of 142 to finish behind Coe-Brown (55), Hanover (77) and Bedford (95).

Souhegan (197) finished fifth and Milford (258) came in eighth.

Meghan Philpot led the way for the Cavaliers, finishing fifth in 19:20, while Emma Newton came in eighth in 19:40.

Kate Stopera (20:51) and Emily Benz (20:52) finished 32nd and 33rd, respectively, while Erin Guertin (22:16) was 70th and Felicia Lombardi (22:38) came in 76th. Mary Martin (22:51) was 84th.

The H/B boys finished 12th overall with a score of 355. Oyster River (81) was first, edging out Souhegan (86).

Hanover (112) came in third while Merrimack Valley (119) was fourth and Portsmouth (131) was fifth.

Sean Flannery led the Cavs, finishing 38th in 17:41, while Christian Parenteau came in 69th in 18:24.

Mark Lorden (18:35) finished 79th and Jared Noftle (18:37) placed 81st. Jonathan Gegg (18:42) came in 88th while Kyle Lorden (18:56) was 96th and Steven Rossetti (19:27) was 112th.

The top six teams and the first 25 runners from Division II will compete in the Meet of Champions Nov. 5 at Nashua High School South.

BOYS SOCCER

DIVISION II

Oct. 28: No. 3 H/B 5, No. 14 Trinity 0

The Cavaliers scored four times in the first 30 minutes and added one in the second half to beat 14th seeded Trinity in the first round of Division II action.

Cole Owens, Harrison Fetter, Jeff Kulpa, Christian Beiter, and Andrew Cappetta supplied the goals. Fetter (two assists), Kulpa, and Sam Whitaker added assists.

Ryan Pauer had a great game constantly adding pressure to the Trinity back line.

Linds Cadwell earned the shutout with 7 saves.

VOLLEYBALL

DIVISION I

Oct. 29: No. 2 H/B 3, No. 7 Nashua South 1

The Cavaliers advanced with a win over the Panthers on Saturday night.
