Brookline independent publisher to hold signing for book about Ben Franklin

HOLLIS – Hobblebush Books, of Brookline, will launch its newest offering, “Poor Richard’s Lament: A Most Timely Tale” at a book-signing party, 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the home of Matt and Betinna Peyton-Levine, 16 Blood Road.
The event is open to the public.
The novel, by Tom Fitzgerald, brings Ben Franklin back to life so that he can visit contemporary America and see what has become of the nation.
According to Hobblebush, an independent publisher, Fitzgerald spent nine years writing the novel.
At the book launch, he will read excerpts and show a video that was filmed at the Boston Latin School when he spoke to students about his book.
Snow date is Sunday, Feb. 12, same time, same place.
