Special to the Cabinet

AMHERST – The Amherst Town Library welcomes the Air Force Band of Liberty’s Bay State Winds clarinet quartet as part of a memorable “Sundays at 4” music series.

The band will perform 4-5 p.m. Feb. 12. Stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts, four Bay State Winds musicians, Staff Sgt. Matthew Ayala-Roman, Technical Sgt. Christy Bailes, Master Sgt. Jennifer Dashnaw and Master Sgt. Kevin Connors, will bring audiences to their feet. The program features something for all musical tastes – classical, contemporary, patriotic, jazz and folk music, as well as original pieces for clarinet quartet. This concert is free and open to the public.

With a repertoire ranging from Bach to Broadway, the Bay State Winds have been performing for civilian audiences across the Northeast since 2001.

The Amherst Town Library staff members said they are appreciative for the funding provided by the Friends of the Amherst Town Library for the 2012 “Sundays at 4” music series. The series will continue March 18 with “A Celtic Celebration: Aubrie Dionne and Piper Runion-Bareford in Concert” and will end with a final performance April 15 with the New Hampshire Master Chorale in Concert with Music Director Dan Perkins.
