Concert Feb. 24 at Wilton’s High Mowing

WILTON – The Sinfonietta will perform its winter concert on Sunday, Feb. 24, at 4 p.m. in the Big Room at High Mowing School.
The Sinfonietta, a community chamber orchestra in its eighth year, is directed by Mark Ferguson, and made up of high school and middle school students as well as professional musicians from around the region.
The concert is free; donations are appreciated.

The concert program features dance music including a Strauss waltz, a Tarantella by Debussy, a Minuet by Ravel, some Spanish dances and an original tango.
High Mowing students Clelie Fielding, Nimrod Sadeh, Hillary Renaud, Fiona Graham and Sivan Perez will perform.
They will be joined by Cam Twarog (Keene Middle School), Ursula Kratzenberg (Con Val), Lily Crandall-Oral (Pine Hill Waldorf School) and Andrew Koutroubas (Wilton-Lyndeborough).
The Sinfonietta brings smaller, expressive pieces of music by great composers to the southern Monadnock region several times a year.
