Thursday, March 7, 2013

AMHERST – Three New England comics will headline the second annual Night of Comedy and silent auction sponsored by the Amherst Junior Women’s Club.

The event is the club’s largest fundraiser of the year and will be held Saturday, March 9, at the Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley in Milford. Comics slated to appear are Paul Nardizzi, Mike Koutrobis, and Jody Sloane.

Nardizzi has made numerous appearances on Conan O’Brien and Comedy Central. He won the Boston Comedy Festival competition.

Koutrobis was voted New Hampshire’s Best Comic of 2012 and has his own show at Foxwoods.

Self-described Queen of Irreverence, Jody Sloane was a finalist in the Funniest Comic in NH contest and has worked as a Boston Duck Tour “conduktor”.

Appetizers and a cash bar will be provided by Alpine Grove. Doors open at 6 p.m. for drinks, appetizers and the silent auction. The comedy show begins at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $35 and are available at Moulton’s Market in Amherst or at www.amherstjuniors.org or from AJWC members.

The Amherst Junior Women’s Club is a non-profit organization that focuses its efforts on civic needs, educational advancement and the less fortunate. Proceeds from the event will benefit local schools and area charities. For more information, email volunteer@amherstjuniors.org.
