Teacher staffing up to Merrimack voters
Thursday, February 11, 2010
To the Editor:
In a very close vote Tuesday, the Merrimack School Budget Committee decided against restoring middle school and high school staff positions to the 2010-11 budget.
How do you ā voters, parents and residents ā feel about this?
Iām on the committee, and with deep conflict, I voted against restoring the money. Enrollment is down, and the administration says it can make it work.
But these are your schools. You can tell the committee and Merrimack School Board to put the money back or leave it out.
Mark your calendar for March 2 and the School Deliberative Session ā or let others do the voting.
