Farmers market season stretched by 2 weeks
Friday, September 20, 2013
Merrimack Farmers Market is extending its season.
It will be open on extra days – 3-6 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 25, and 3-6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2.
The market features local vendors of fruits and veggies, baked goods, honey, hormone-free meats, jams and jellies, finely crafted soaps, goats’ milk, sweet peaches and much more.
Many items, such as artistically wrapped soaps, enticing bottles of pure honey produced by local beekeepers and jars of attractively labeled homemade jellies and jams are perfect for gift-giving as the holidays approach.
Imagine a taste of summer enjoyed by friends, co-workers and family members at Christmas, Hanukkah or on any special occasion come fall or winter. There is still time to stock up on locally made goods produced with pride.
The market is located in the parking lot of the Tractor Supply Co., 515 Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack.
