RISE offering spring course preview on Jan. 17

NASHUA – The Rivier Institute for Senior Education spring course preview is scheduled for 1-3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, in the Demoulas Room of the Education Center at Rivier University on Clement Street.
Two five-week semesters are offered by RISE. Part one is from Feb. 3-March 7, and part two is from March 17-April 25.
No are no learning prerequisites and no tests. Membership for the 10-week courses is $120, and includes computer labs and the use of the Muldoon Health and Fitness Center, Regina Library and Dion Dining Hall.
With a choice of five each term, the 55 courses include literature, history, music and dance, computer science, creating digital slide shows, religion, philosophy and spiritual enrichment, writing, world cultures, current events and intermediate bridge. None are credit bearing.
Also included in the fee are choices of moderate exercise and water exercise courses.
The RISE program, tailored for “learning in retirement,” is in its 17th year. Individuals older than 55 are welcome to learn more about RISE, preview courses and register with a check for the spring semester at the course preview.
