Groups needed to clean park
Friday, September 28, 2012
Merrimack has an “Adopt-a-Spot” that works much like the “Adopt-a-Highway” program. We are seeking a club, committee, company or group to adopt Watson Park as a project for community service.
Watson Park is such a beautiful setting along the Souhegan River and Baboosic Brook; it has attracted a great deal of activity.
Unfortunately, some activities produce litter. If you would like to help keep Watson Park clean, get some free exercise and help us keep the park tax neutral, we would like to hear from you.
The program will call for light duties only such as picking up litter, watering or other tasks approved by the town of Merrimack.
Watson Park is located in Town Center on Daniel Webster Highway, and represents a high-visibility location to promote community volunteerism and corporate social responsibility programs alike.
If you or your company would like to get involved with this Watson Park program, please contact Phil Straight at 913-4658 or phil.straight@comcast.net.
Phil is a member of the Parks and Recreation Committee and the contact person for this program. He will be able to answer any questions or discuss the details of the program.
Thank you for helping us.
