Town seeks walk haunts

Friday, October 12, 2012

Planning is underway for the 20th annual Halloween Haunted Walk at Wasserman Park.

The Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department and P.A.C.T. (Police and Children Together) are again joining forces to co-host this year’s family-friendly Halloween Haunted Walk to be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26. Events will include a Haunted House, sponsored by Merrimack High School First Robotics team, a costume contest, pumpkin and Halloween ornament decorating, flashlight egg hunt, games, goody bags, popcorn, cotton candy and more.

To add to the festive atmosphere, the Parks and Recreation Department is searching for groups interested in adopting-a-spot to decorate and/or haunt for the Halloween Haunted Walk. Groups, committees and organizations are encouraged to take part in this community event.

You’re invited to take part in the Haunted Walk to help make it spectacular, offer refreshments, organize children’s games, do face painting, demonstrations, raffles or something completely new and exciting.

Contact the Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department at 882-1046 or email to parksdept@ with the type of service you would like to provide, any ideas you may have or for more information.
