Get ready for Winter Carnival
Tuesday, January 15, 2013
Planning is underway for the 21st annual Winter Carnival at Wasserman Park. The Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department and the Parks and Recreation Committee are proud to host this event scheduled for noon-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. Enjoy a day of free family activities including snowman building, snow art, arts and crafts and lots of outdoor winter fun.
Inside the Function Hall, local nonprofit organizations will offer a variety of delicious snacks and refreshments with proceeds benefiting their organization.
Local businesses, community groups, committees and organizations interested in taking part in this event are encouraged to contact the Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department with information on the type of service or activity you would like to offer. Ideas in the past have included demonstrations, children’s games, face painting, concession tables and raffles.
We invite you to participate and/or come enjoy this wonderful event with your family. Please call 882-1046 for event updates or to register your group. For updated information, please go to www.merrimacknh.gov/town/departments/parks_and_recreation/upcoming_events.
