Winter Carnival set to go
Friday, January 25, 2013
Get ready for the 21st annual Winter Carnival at Wasserman Park from noon-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. Enjoy a day of free family activities including snowman building, snow art, arts and crafts and lots of outdoor winter fun.
There’s still time to sign up your group’s, organizations’ or business’ activity.
Ideas in the past have included demonstrations, children’s games, face painting, concession tables and raffles.
Joining in the fun will be local nonprofit organizations that have already signed up, offering snacks and refreshments, with proceeds benefiting their organizations.
Local businesses, community groups, committees and organizations interested in taking part in Winter Carnival are encouraged to contact the Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department with information on the type of service or activity you would like to offer.
“We invite you to participate and/or come enjoy this wonderful event with your family,” said Kelly Valluzzi, of the Parks and Recreation Department.
Call Kelly Valluzzi at 882-1046 to pre-register your organization or business.
