Ralph ‘Fred’ Maker

Ralph “Fred” Maker, 69, of Merrimack, NH died Wednesday Aug. 13, 2014 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a long illness.
He was born in Nashua, NH on Nov. 25, 1944 a son of the late Ralph E. and Rose (Kemp) Maker.
Fred was a life long resident of Merrimack.
Before retirement, he was a long haul truck driver for over 30 years, most recently with Walmart in Raymond, NH and had previously been employed at W.R. Grace and Superior Carriers.
He loved animals and was a car enthusiast, especially drag racing.
Fred is pre-deceased by his first wife, Carol (Arsenault) Maker, who died in 1969; and a brother in-law, Dana Patterson who died in 1991.
Members of his family include his wife of 24 years, Doris (Petit) Maker of Merrimack; four children, William and Joseph Maker; and Stephanie Roundy and Sarah Eaton; two stepsons, Brian and Gary Chevalier; a brother and his wife Douglas and Gail Maker; two sisters and a brother in-law, Barbara Patterson and Dorothy Pynenburg and her husband Joseph, all of Merrimack; eight grandchildren, Joseph, Charles & Kate Maker, Cole and Reid Hultman, and Austin, Carol and Emma Roundy; and several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Services will be held at a later date and at the convenience of the family.
The Rivet Funeral Home in Merrimack is in charge of arrangements.
