Elaine M. Coronis

Elaine M. Coronis, 59, of Merrimack, died Saturday ,Oct. 31, 2009, at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack after a long illness.

She was born in Nashua on July 1, 1950, the daughter of Lorette A. (Burque) Cormier of Nashua and the late Robert E. Cormier.

Mrs. Coronis graduated as valedictorian from St. Louis de Gonzague High School and earned a degree in education from Rivier College. She was a resident of Merrimack for more than 30 years and was also a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church.

She was a math teacher for eight years at Alvirne High School. She worked alongside her husband for 15 years at Harvard Management Solutions Inc. and was employed for the last three years in the admissions office at Rivier College in Nashua.

Mrs. Coronis loved family gatherings, writing, puzzles, movies and traveling.

Mrs. Coronis is the widow of Thomas J. Coronis, who died Aug. 19, 2004.

She is survived by her mother and two daughters, Jamie and her husband Justin Godin of Nashua, and Stacy Coronis and her fiance Ezekiel Wheeler of Cambridge, Mass. She is also survived by two brothers and sisters in-law, Robert and Donna Cormier of Hollis and Al and Diane Cormier of Salem as well as two sisters and brothers in-law, Jeanne and Gary McCullough of Mont Vernon and Anne and Gary Stuer of Norway, Maine; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were in the George R. Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, on Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in Our Lady of Mercy, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, on Wednesday. Burial followed in Last Rest Cemetery, Merrimack, NH.
