RAINSVILLE, AL – Donald Estey, 86, died Friday, January 29, 2010, at home in Rainsville, AL.
He was born in Derry, NH on October 26, 1923, a son of the late Clayton and Maude (Baker) Estey.
He owned and operated D. G. Estey Welding on Baboosic Lake Road in Merrimack, NH for many years. He then moved to Okeechobee, FL where he resided for 15 years. Most recently he lived in Rainsville, AL for 15 years.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Harold Estey, Bernard Estey and Richard Estey of NH, and Howard Estey of FL; and two sisters, Georgia Campbell of NH, and Lillian Gianoulis of CA.
Family members include his wife of 39 years, Annie Bertha (White) Estey of Rainsville, AL; a daughter, Tricia Hawes of Okeechobee, FL; five daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Brian Gregoire of Nashua, NH, Linda and Don Varnum of Andover, NH, Martha and Bob Cunningham of Milford, NH, Naomi and Arthur Burgess of E. Bridgewater, MA, and Diana and Reggie Dupont of Nashua, NH; one son, Jim Estey of Okeechobee, FL; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five sisters, Bernice Mercier of Auburn, NH, Ruth Martin of Hudson, NH, Marian Curtis of Manchester, NH, Barbara Bonner of FL, and Ethel Cole of GA; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 6 in Fort Payne, AL.

The Wilson Funeral Home of Rainsville, 2226 Main Street E., Rainsville, AL is handling arrangements.
