MERRIMACK – Calling all girls between the ages of 5-17. It’s time to discover, connect and take action: It’s time to sign up for Girl Scouts.

Find out all about it at the Merrimack Public Library, 470 Daniel Webster Highway, on Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 6-7:30 p.m.

Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains offers more than 100 programs for girls; registration is $30 a year. Through Girl Scouting, girls discover themselves and their values, connect with others, and take action to make the world a better place. They have a blast, make friends and have new and exciting experiences in the preeminent leadership development program for girls in the U.S.

Adults are needed too. Volunteers receive training and learn marketable skills, make new friends and make a difference in girls’ lives. See www.girlscoutsgwm.org and click on “Volunteer” to see the many opportunities available.

Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains serves more than 14,000 girls in New Hampshire and Vermont, thanks to the 5,500 trained and dedicated volunteers. They build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. Register online at www.girlscoutsgwm.org or call 888-474-9686, ext. 165.
