Join the Merrimack Chamber and celebrate 50 years of business excellence

Friday, February 28, 2014

The Merrimack Chamber was established in 1928 but it wasn’t until 1964 that the newly appointed board of the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce took on the charge of “directing the destiny” of the chamber.

Join the chamber as members celebrate 50 years of business excellence at its annual recognition event and scholarship fundraiser on Thursday, March 13, at the SERESC Conference Center in Bedford.

“Recognizing that folks attend with the goal of making connections both new and established, this year’s event will feature a new format, with great food, lots of networking, exciting raffle prizes, silent and live auctions, and the camaraderie that sets the Merrimack Chamber’s events apart,” said Deb Courtemanche, the chamber’s executive director.

Awards that will be presented include the 2013 Business of the Year, 2013 Business Leader of the Year, 2013 Volunteer of the Year and the 2013 President’s Award.

“A long-standing tradition, these awards recognize outstanding leadership, community involvement, and local chamber participation,” she added.

The annual recognition event, via the silent auction, is also the primary fundraiser for the chamber’s scholarship fund, which provides scholarships for local high school seniors with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Consider being a sponsor, attending or donating an item to the auction. Tickets are $50 each or $450 for a bundle of 10. Visit merrimackchamber.org/news-events to learn more about this event, nominate an award winner and register to attend.
